Lantex turns Steiner V&A Collection into manufactured works of art.

Elmfield Hall in Accrington was built in 1853 was the original family home of the Gatty Family and they contacted us to see if we could take some of the designs in the Steiner collection and create products from this, and that’s exactly what we did.
Both Frederick Steiner and Frederick Albert Gatty were originally from Alsace Lorraine (then France) and had come to Lancashire to work in the Turkey Red dyeing and printing industry. This collection of designs dates to c.1900-1910
Gatty Hall is less than half a mile away from Lantex here in Accrington, Lancashire making them officially our closest customer.
The designs have been digitally printed onto a 100% cotton fabric in two weights and manufactured into tea towels, aprons, shopper bags and double oven gloves.
They look stunning and their customers are thrilled to be able to purchase such iconic designs on manufactured textile goods, their own little slice of history.
